Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) in South Orange got the Hanukkah party rolling early with an evening of fun for young families on December 16. Children in preschool through second grade got ready for the holiday by making edible menorahs and coloring projects, after which they enjoyed a pizza dinner and attended an intergenerational erev Shabbat service with the community.

The Reform synagogue’s Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education serves children from age six months through pre-K, with kindergarten enrichment and other programs for youngsters throughout Essex County who learn through its innovative play-based program. TSTI also hosts intergenerational services and holiday enrichment programs throughout the year for members and the wider Jewish community. For more information about TSTI’s early childhood education program, contact Carol Paster at (973) 763-4600.
