On Monday, March 2, the Maplewood Garden Club’s monthly meeting will feature speaker Jeannie Geremia of the Garden Club of New Jersey. Geremia is chairperson of the Club’s Butterflies & BeeGAP (Gardeners Adding Pollinators) Project, and will share ways you can create a pollinator-friendly habitat in your own garden or park by providing nesting sites and plants that are attractive to native bees and butterflies. The decline of butterflies and bees has become a critical issue, since a third of the food we eat relies on our pollinators.

Geremia is also a National Garden Clubs Accredited Judge and a writer for Gardener News.

The public is welcome to the meeting, and light refreshments will be served. For information on the Maplewood Garden Club, visit maplewoodgardenclub.org.
