The Olympics continue, as does the celebration for Ibtihaj Muhammad in Maplewood. On Saturday, Team USA Women’s Sabre will compete against Poland in the quarterfinals; if they win they will go on to the semifinals and finals (see below).
Maplewood Township and the New Jersey Fencing Alliance invite all to a viewing party on Saturday at NJFA. NJFA will be streaming all events, including all women’s individual and team Sabre events where Ibtihaj will be fencing. Join the fun, cheer her on and learn a little about the sport, with free open bouting throughout the week and mini clinics

8:00 AM – Women’s Team Sabre Quarterfinals; USA faces Poland!
9:15 AM and 11:45 AM (if they lose quarterfinals): for 5-8 place
bracket and then for 5-6 or 7-8 bout.
10:30 AM (if they win quarterfinals): Semifinals Match
4 PM: Women’s Team Sabre Bronze Match
5:15 PM: Women’s Team Sabre Gold Medal Match
