The Mickey Fried Preschool of Oheb Shalom Congregation is very excited to announce the hiring of their new director, Sloane Goldstein.

For the past ten years, Sloane has been the Assistant Director at The Kaplan Cooperative Preschool (part of the United Synagogue of Hoboken, NJ), a thriving, successful, and highly regarded preschool. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from American University and her Masters in Early Childhood Education from Hofstra University.

On Friday, June 17, a free family-friendly Beer Garden Shabbat will take place on the preschool playground at 5:30 p.m. for current and prospective preschool families to meet Sloane.

“Sloane has wonderful energy and great passion for early childhood education. She comes from a school that, like ours, has an excellent reputation. We are so excited to welcome her into our extraordinary and caring community,” said Mickey Fried Preschool Board Member and search committee chair Alissa Kaplan.

The Mickey Fried Preschool offers programs for children ages two to five years old. In addition to our core morning program from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., we offer early morning drop off starting as early as 8 a.m., lunch bunch, and enrichment classes that can extend your child’s day until 6 p.m. Applications are now being accepted for the 2016-17 school year.
