The sudden passing of Maplewoodian and Cedar Ridge Cafe and Bakery co-owner Joseph Ramaikas on Tuesday stunned the South Orange and Maplewood community.
Customers and friends have been leaving flowers and notes outside of the cafe, a favorite local haunt on Ridgewood Road.
Cedar Ridge, which has been closed since Ramaikas’s death, will re-open on Saturday, according to the Facebook page: “The Cedar Ridge Cafe will be open for Business on Saturday at 8:00 am. Please come by and have a mug of coffee and a toast to Joe. We look forward to seeing you.”
