SOMA Two Towns for All Ages to Hold Second Community Volunteer Fair March 31

From SOMA Two Towns for All Ages:
Volunteerism is important not only to older residents, but to everyone in our community, both in terms of giving and receiving.
Last year’s Community-wide volunteer fair at The Woodland drew over 300 people.
After a terrific turnout last year, SOMA Two Towns for All Ages is planning to hold another community-wide volunteer fair this spring. One of our goals is to find ways for older residents to stay engaged in our community, but it is not only senior citizens who are looking to volunteer: we have so many residents who are looking to get involved and share their talents, especially people new to the area and those with young families. So, we invite all community organizations and residents to join us again in a community-wide volunteer fair on:
  • Sunday, March 31, 2019, 2-4pm, The Loft at SOPAC, 1 SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ
Last year, more than 300 people came to check out dozens of local non-profits and ways they can get involved. From food banks to nature and the environment, social justice to arts and education, there is no shortage to the need and opportunities in our community to help out.
So if you are a teen looking for service hours, a recent retiree or a parent looking to find a meaningful project with your kids, come and meet the groups that are making a difference right here in our towns.
Any local non-profits that would like to have a table at the fair should contact Cathy Rowe at (973) 558-0863 or [email protected].
