South Orange Stop & Shop Raises $3,513 for Community FoodBank of NJ

The customers and sales associates of Stop & Shop in South Orange has raised $3,513 to be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey this holiday season.

The donation is part of the Stop & Shop Supermarket Company’s 2016 Food for Friends in-store campaign that helped raise $275,421 across several states to provide hunger relief to area residents. Stop & Shop operates 419 stores throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey.

Together with a corporate match, Stop & Shop will donate $354,421 to local and regional food banks.

Through the sale of specially designed donation cards and fundraising events held from November 1 through November 24, 2016, South Orange Stop & Shop associates and customers donated $3,513, which will be donated to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
