Maplewood Township will host its Annual Reorganization Meeting on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Maplewood Town Hall, 574 Valley Street.
Nancy Adams, who was selected by her colleagues on the Maplewood Township Committee in November to serve as Mayor in 2024, will be sworn into office. Adams has served on the TC for eight years and will be the first female mayor since Ellen Davenport held the position 27 years ago.
Jamaine Cripe will be sworn in as Deputy Mayor.
In addition, outgoing Maplewood Mayor Dean Dafis will be sworn into his third term on the TC, and former Mayor Victor De Luca will be sworn into his ninth term on the TC, following their uncontested victories in the general election in November.
The event includes music and speeches. No refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
