You’ve heard the old saying — New Year, New You.

Maybe after the first two weeks of the year, you’re feeling not so new, and not so you, after weeks of holiday revelry, traveling and lost sleep. We may be heading into the third week of 2016, but your mind and body don’t know it yet. Fear not: Village Green has some intel on where to go to get fit this year and who’s got the best promos, even if you haven’t started on a new plan. Don’t despair: dig in.

  • Love fashion, fitness, and want to fit into your fashion? Consider joining Jumpstart 2016, Maplewood resident and personal trainer Allison Kalshed’s program in partnership with friend Elaine Yu of Simply Chic Styling! For $990, you get four 45-minute personal training sessions with Allison at the Millburn-Short Hills Athletic Club, a private training facility conveniently located across from the Millburn train station. These sessions will be tailored to each participant’s fitness level, abilities and goals. Next, health Coach Claudia Petrilli will provide four weekly 30-minute Skype or phone sessions with each participant. Participants will receive private, individual nutrition coaching to guide them in making their best individual food choices and a suggested weekly meal plan with easy-to-make recipes, and a stress-free grocery list.
