Locally Sourced & Seasonal Food Coming Soon at Summit House

Summit House – a trendy, new spot at the corner of Springfield Avenue and Maple Street in Summit, NJ – will open its doors in early April.

Coinciding with the coming of spring heralding new beginnings and renewal, Summit House joins a number of new or proposed restaurants in the area bringing locally sourced, “farm-to-table” food.

A long-time dream of proprietors, Dylan and Melissa Baker and Tyler and Sara Reeder, the Summit residents developed a very thoughtful and well planned renovation transforming the town’s original YMCA built in the late 1800’s to a warm, neighborhood establishment. Design cues from different eras include Victorian to Mid-Century Modern details and showcase a casual bar-side café and an open-kitchen dining room.

Executive Chef Martin Kester brings his forward thinking, seasonal approach offering a menu driven by sourcing local ingredients from neighboring farms, fisherman and purveyors to create a simple yet mouthwatering cuisine that will inspire and delight. The bar program, headed by Tad Carducci, will feature signature cocktails that complement the chef’s innovative earthbound menu and includes locally brewed beers and an international wine cellar.

Enjoy Sunday brunch in outdoor seating along Maple Avenue and savor the colors and aromas from Summit’s local farmers market. Summit House is also available for private functions.
