Maplewood Health Department Offers Free Public Screening Programs for Heart Health

February is Heart Healthy Month! Maplewood Health Department will be holding lots of blood pressure and diabetes screening programs that are free and open to the public this month:

Tuesday, February 21st- Blood pressure and blood glucose screening provided by the Overlook Hospital Mobile van, 12-2 pm outside the Hilton Branch Library, 1688 Springfield Ave. This is also free and open to the public.

Saturday, February 25th- Maplewood Library Blood Drive, from 10 AM-3 PM at the Main Library, 51 Baker St. Cholesterol screening will also be provided. Program provided by the Community Blood Services. Donor guidelines:

  • Weigh at least 110 lbs
  • Eat before donation
  • Bring ID
  • Drink plenty of water before and after donation
