The International Real Estate Federation, part of the United Nations, awarded Joanne Douds their highest honor, The Jack Sharp Memorial Membership Award, at their recent Asian Pacific Real Estate Congress, according to a press release.

Ms. Douds has been dedicated to the three missions of the Federation; conducting international real estate business, environmental and sustainable development and working with prestigious universities that are Academic Members to find the future global scholars who will impact the world. Ms. Douds is currently VP of Student Exchanges, Board Member for the United States and past President of the NY Council.

“Joanne shared this news with me at Newcomers Day and I was extremely thrilled for her,” said South Orange Village President Sheena Collum. “Joanne takes so much of her professional experience and brings it to South Orange as an active community volunteer. A big congratulations to her on such an incredible achievement.”

Operating in over 60 countries and composed of over 125 national real estate associations (one being NAR), the Federation continues to be a force for all real estate issues since its founding in Paris in 1948.
