Obituary: Maplewood Resident Christophe Philippe Rosental Dies at 53

Christophe Philippe Rosental, a 53-year-old Maplewood resident and father, passed away on July 7, according to the Star-Ledger.

Rosental died of pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Susan Wade Menk and their son, Alexandre Wade Rosental, a Jefferson School 4th grader. Born in Paris, he became a U.S. citizen in 1997. Rosental worked as a  senior business analyst for Calypso Technology, Inc., and for Sungard Financial Systems and Credit Agricole, according to the obituary. He also was a lifelong chess player and played competitively.
