Armed Man Robs Irvington Ave. 7-Eleven, Maplewood Police Say

The 7-Eleven on Irvington Avenue was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday at around 3:45 a.m., said Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Dept. A man reportedly entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money, said Black. He then fled the store heading north in a silver or gray vehicle. No injuries were reported.

September 7, 2016; Shoplifting; At approximately 2:15 PM, a male shoplifted several items from 7-11 on Springfield Ave. The following day the same male returned to the store. He was stopped walking away from the store by patrols and arrested. He was identified as forty two year old Frank Wiley of Irvington.

September 10, 2016; Burglary; At approximately 12:15 PM a resident of Franklin Ter, reported hearing noises in his home. When he investigated, he found that his home had been burglarized while he was upstairs. Nothing was reported missing at the time of the report.

September 11, 2016; Burglary; Sometime over the previous two days a home on the 200 block of Parker Ave was entered. Jewelry and cash were reportedly stolen.
