ATM Machine Stolen on Irvington Avenue

In one of the more audacious recent crimes, the Maplewood Police Department reports that two men stole an ATM machine after backing a pickup truck into the front window of Sudz King on Irvington Avenue at around 4:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10.

Police are looking for two African American men who appeared to be in their late 30s or 40s who were “observed during the burglary/theft.” One is described as approximately 5’10” and heavy set with dreadlocks, the second was described as tall and thin, possibly around 6’1″ and 170 lbs.

October 8, 2014; Burglary; A residence on Van Ness Terrace was entered during the daytime hours and jewelry was stolen.

October 8, 2014; Battery Theft;  A business on Camptown Rd reported that a battery was stolen from one if its vehicles.

October, 10, 2014; Burglary; At approximately 4:30 a.m., a pickup truck backed into the front window of Sudz King on Irvington Avenue and two males stole the ATM machine.

October 11, 2014; Motor Vehicle Theft; During the overnight hours a Chevy work van was stolen from Burnett Ave.
