Handgun Stolen in Burglary on Van Ness Terrace, Police Say

Maplewood Police reported on Sunday that sometime during the previous two days, someone broke into an apartment on the 50s block of Van Ness Terrace and stole a handgun.

Here is the rest of this week’s blotter, from Sgt. Christopher Black:

November 11, 2015; Theft from Auto; Between 11PM and 1 AM, a cell phone charger, cigarettes and other items were removed from an unsecured vehicle parked on Woodhill Dr.

November 11, 2015; Theft of Tires/Rims; During the overnight hours, four vehicles had the rims and tires stolen. Two vehicles were on Midland Blvd, one on Oakview Ave and one on Essex Rd. All of the vehicles were parked in the driveways of the residences.

November 12, 2015; Burglary; During the afternoon hours, entry was forced into a home on 70s block of Oakview Ave. Several drawers were disturbed and a small safe taken.
