There are at least two ways to help two Maplewood families who lost their homes this weekend to a house fire.

The American Red Cross is currently aiding the families and helping them find temporary housing. Dan Cohen of the South Orange Rescue Squad reports that the contact number for The American Red Cross is 973-979-3300. Those wishing to aid the families directly can call the number and use the families’ address as the incident reference: 2077 Ostwood Terrace, Maplewood.

Alternatively, Clinton School, where the families’ children attend school, is collecting Target and Visa gift cards and/or cash to split between the families. Donations can be dropped off in the Main Office at Clinton School or mailed to: Clinton School, 27 Berkshire Rd, Maplewood, NJ 07040.
