Man Arrested for Trespass, Musical Instrument Theft at Maplewood MS

Maplewood Police arrested a man for trespassing at Maplewood Middle School on Tuesday and for previously stealing musical instruments from the school, according to Sgt. Christopher Black.

At approximately 3 p.m., responding to reports of a trespasser at the school, police found 19-year-old Hubenson Dorcant of Maplewood inside a men’s room, said Black. Police arrested Dorcant and charged him with trespass. After an investigation determined he had stolen musical instruments from the school at least once before, police charged him with the thefts as well, said Black.

June 2, 2015; Burglary; At approximately 2 PM an unknown male was observed inside a Jacoby St apartment. The next day it was discovered that five dollars was missing from one of the roommates rooms and it was reported to the police.

June 4, 2015; Trespass; At approximately 3:45 AM, a male was discovered inside of a Oakview Ave residence. He had apparently entered through an unsecured door. The resident confronted him before he fled out the rear door and through the yard. Nothing was reported missing.

June 5, 2015; Burglary; It was reported that on May 29th, money was found to be missing from a home on Oakview Ave. A rear door was also found partially open.

June 5, 2015; Burglary; It was reported that on June 4th between midnight and 6:30 AM cash was taken from inside of a home on Mountainview Ter. No other items were removed.
