Maplewood Man Robbed at Gunpoint Near Orchard and Parker, Police Say

A Maplewood resident walking near Orchard Road and Parker Avenue on Sunday at around 1 a.m. was allegedly robbed by two men who pointed a gun at him, said Sgt. Christopher Black.

The 33-year-old man was walking when he was approached by two men wearing partial masks, who pointed a long barreled gun at him and demanded his belongings, said Black. The two took the man’s phone, drivers license and passport before running away, said Black. The man was not injured.

May 10, 2016; Theft from Auto; During the overnight hours an unsecured vehicle parked on Orchard Rd was entered. A wallet, a gaming system and clothing were reportedly stolen.

May 12, 2016; Shoplifting; At approximately 1:15 PM a male entered, 7-11 on Irvington Ave, grabbed a box of lighters and then fled on foot.

May 14, 2016; Motor Vehicle Theft; Sometime of the previous three day, a Jeep Liberty was stolen from a parking lot on the 1800 block of Springfield Ave. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.
