Maplewood Police Arrest Two Men in Graffiti Incidents

Maplewood police arrested two Maplewood residents and charged them with allegedly being responsible for “recent graffiti incidents” that have occurred around town.

According to a release dated April 13, on April 6 officers arrested 22-year-old Spencer Pontius and 21-year-old Marcus Baker, both of Maplewood. Police charged Pontius with two counts of criminal mischief and Baker with eight counts of criminal mischief.

The arrests came after Officer Dolan stopped Pontius in connection with the incidents, and as a result of subsequent investigation by the Detective Bureau.

Police determined the incidents were not related to any gang activity, according to the release.
