Maplewood Police: Masked, Armed Man Robs Man at Plymouth Ave. & Oakland Rd.

A 20-year-old was robbed by a man wearing a ski mask and brandishing a handgun near Plymouth Avenue and Oakland Road on December 28, police said.

At around 11: 30 p.m., the man was approached by the gunman, who demanded his belongings, said Lt. Christopher Black. The robber took the man’s jacket and phone before running away. The victim was not injured, Black said.

December 24, 2018; Motor Vehicle Theft; An unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Hilton Ave was stolen sometime over the previous three days.

December 24, 2018; Shoplifting; At approximately 4:30 PM a male exited the Walgreens with medicine and fled without paying for the items.  Officers checked the area and were able to recover the items, but not locate the male.

December 25, 2018; Theft from Auto; Between 12:30 AM and 4:45 AM an unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Maplewood Ave was entered and a wallet and cell phone were removed.

December 25, 2018; Motor Vehicle Theft, Sometime during the overnight hours a vehicle was removed from the driveway of a home on Essex Rd.  The vehicle was found several houses away with damage and items missing from it.

December 25, 2108; Motor Vehicle Theft; At approximately, 5 AM a pickup truck parked in the driveway of a home on Boyden Parkway South was stolen.

December 26, 2018; Motor Vehicle Theft; During the daytime hours a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a home on Oakview Ave.
