NJ.com: Maplewood Homicide Victims Died of Gunshot Wounds

Autopsies have confirmed that the three people found dead in a Maplewood apartment on Van Ness Court on Jan. 29. died of gunshot wounds, a representatives of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has told NJ.com.

The three victims —Michael Davis, 45, of Maplewood; Roshana Kenilson, 30, of Paterson; and Lance Fraser, 44, of Newark — were found by Maplewood firefighters who accessed the apartment after someone called who was unable to reach Davis, the resident of the apartment. NJ.com earlier reported that Kenilson and Fraser were friends who were visiting Davis.

Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly told NJ.com that no arrests had been made in the case, that he could not comment on a motive “at this time,” and that the investigation is “active and ongoing.”
