Nicole Dufault, the Columbia High School teacher arrested on charges of sexually assaulting five students, was caught in the act on video, says Essex County Assistant Prosecutor Gina Iosim.

According to NJ.com, Iosim said that prosecutors are in possession of a video showing Dufault performing oral sex on one of the victims with another victim present.

Iosim made the pronouncement at a hearing today on whether or not to reduce Dufault’s $500,000 bail. The request was denied, according to NJ.com.

Iosim also told the judge that there had been two prior complaints made against Dufault: one involved Dufault having “inappropriate sexual conversations in the classroom,” Iosim said. Iosim also alleged that Dufault had lied on her resume submitted for employment at Columbia High School.

Dufault, a 10th grade language arts teacher who has taught at CHS for approximately 9 years, was arrested last Wednesday at her home in Caldwell. She was charged with multiple counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second degree charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

In the wake of her arrest, Acting Superintendent Jim Memoli and Columbia High School Principal Elizabeth Aaron said that the district was providing counseling for students and was continuing to cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
