Shoplifting at Walgreens, Car Theft on Maplewood Police Blotter

In a quiet police week in Maplewood, a man was reported to have shoplifted “unknown merchandise” at the Walgreens on Springfield Avenue on Wednesday at approximately 9 p.m., according to Sgt. Christopher Black. The man ran out of the store and fled east on Springfield Ave., Black said.

Police also reported that a Ford parked on Meadowbrook Place was stolen on Friday between noon and 1 p.m., Black said. The car was later recovered in South Orange.
