South Orange Police arrested a 16-year-old Maplewood boy Thursday afternoon and charged him with stealing a package from a front porch on Radel Terrace.
At around 3:30 p.m. officers responded to a call that two people were stealing packages from front porches in the area, according to the police blotter. Officers saw the teen reportedly in possession of a stolen package and arrested him.
The second person, also believed to be a juvenile, ran away as officers gave chase, but they were unable to locate him. The investigation is ongoing.
