South Orange Police Arrest Three Newark Teens in Vose Avenue Car Theft

South Orange Police arrested three Newark teens in the alleged theft of a car at a Vose Avenue apartment complex, according to the police blotter.

The three boys, two aged 16 and one aged 13, were arrested Wednesday, Sept. 21 at around 10:30 p.m. after officers responded to a call of a car theft in progress at the apartment complex.  The officers saw the three inside a 2000 Chrysler they were allegedly attempting to steal by breaking the ignition, police said.

During their field investigation, officers discovered the three teens had allegedly also entered another vehicle in the rear of the complex.
