South Orange Police said two recent incidents of a man exposing himself to women were likely related.

On Sunday, Sept. 18, a 22-year-old woman walking east on Irvington Avenue at around 10 p.m. saw a white man, approximately 5’8″ tall with a muscular build and wearing a tan scarf around his face exposing himself.

In the second incident, on Saturday at around 10:10 p.m., a woman was standing with a female friend in front of a residence on Ward Place in the area of Village Rd. when an man approached them on foot and exposed himself while touching his genitalia.

The woman screamed at the man, who then ran away heading south on Ward Pl. The man is described as white, heavy set, male, approximately 6’0″ tall and was wearing a burgundy short sleeve shirt, black sweat pants and a full ski mask.

Chief Kyle Kroll told The Village Green he is speculating that the incidents were possibly related.
