South Orange Police Makes Several Arrests in Thefts, Burglary

The South Orange Police recently made arrests in separate incidents involving thefts and a burglary, according to the South Orange Police Blotter:

Jackson Miller, an 18 year old Maplewood resident was arrested on 3-11-16 at approximately 3:25pm after it was discovered that the subject was responsible for committing the theft of packages from a Glenside Rd. residence. A witness to the incident provided the police department with information that ultimately lead to the subject’s arrest.

Jeremy Gilbert, a 30 year old Orange resident was arrested on 3-13-16 at approximately 6:05pm after the home owner responded to the residence which was vacant that he recently purchased and discovered the subject inside of same. Officers responding to the scene placed the subject under arrest. During the on-scene arrest and investigation it was discovered that some unknown chemicals were found in the basement that the subject had been utilizing. The home was eventually made safe and the chemicals were removed by the DEP.

Kevin Elmera, a 25 year old East Orange resident was arrested on 3-8-16 at approximately 11:40pm after Detectives discovered he was the actor responsible for the theft of a cell from an individual on 2-20-16 as the victim walked down the street. The subject was arrested at his residence, transported to police headquarters and processed accordingly.
