A resident of South Fourth Street and his girlfriend were sitting in a car in the driveway of a home on Tuesday, December 9 when they were robbed by three men armed with what appeared to be a shotgun, said Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Department.

At around 12:55 a.m., the couple were talking in the car when the three men, who were wearing masks, approached the car and displayed what the couple described as a shotgun, said Black. The three demanded their belongings, making off with two cell phones and a purse before fleeing in a white car toward Irvington Avenue.

There were no reported injuries, Black said.
