Saturday, October 31 is shaping up to be a spectacular fall day for football and Halloween, and the Columbia High School Cougars are inviting the community to put the two together at its home game against Livingston at Profeta Field at 1 p.m.

The concession stand will offer hamburgers, hotdogs, snacks and drinks for sale, and local elementary school children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes.

In addition, representatives of 7-Eleven will be on hand to award the team a “Project A-Game” grant, a donation that is part of a national corporate program to promote local sports programs with grants of up to $711.

Another highlight will be watching 5-year-old Luke Hall serve as honorary ballboy. Hall one the privilege as a raffle prize at this summer’s Maplewoodstock event.

Finally, according to those in the know, the Cougars have a good chance of winning this game.

Go, Cougars!
