CHS Fencers Named to All-State Teams by NJ Interscholastic Fencing Association

Several Columbia High School fencers were named to the New Jersey Interscholastic Fencing Association All-State Fencing teams recently.  

Columbia High School freshman Jack Woods was named to the New Jersey Interscholastic Fencing Association First All-State Fencing Team after his outstanding fencing in the 2016-2017 high school fencing season. This was foil fencer Woods’ first season on the CHS fencing team.

CHS junior and epee fencer Isaiah Ogbeifun, was named to the Third All-State Fencing Team after his successful fencing season. Seniors Marissa Viquiera and Camille Pham both were named to the Third All-State Foil Fencing Team after their season of successful fencing on the CHS Girls’ Fencing Team.

The All-State Team honorees were awarded trophies commemorating their fencing accomplishments for the 2016-2017 season. These were presented by the president of the New Jersey Interscholastic Fencing Association Lisa Campy-Sapery at a banquet dinner held in Mountain Lakes last week.
