Six Columbia High School students were winners at the Cinema Ed Young Filmmakers track for the 2019 SOMA Film Festival.
- Max Goldstein was the winner for Best Animation for “Colors of The Spirit.” According to SOMSD Supervisor of Fine Arts K-12 James A. Manno, this is the third time in four years that a CHS student has won this award.
- Natasha Romano and Goldstein also won a storyteller’s citation award for “The Shadow Puppet.”
- Cameron Lipp, Ivor Clarke, Sarah Marbaix and Ashley Lucas received runner up for the best film award for “Qualified.”
“Congratulations to the students,” said Manno, “and to their film and animation teacher Mr. Paul Marigliano.”
