The following is from CHS Principal Elizabeth Aaron:

Dear CHS Families:

Attached please find our letters to parents/guardians and students regarding the SOMSD administration of the PSAT for all 10th and 11th grade students and some 12th graders next Wednesday, 10/19. We operate that day on a delayed opening schedule for non-test takers (all 9th graders and most 12th graders). It is VERY important that your PSAT test-taker arrive at school that day. Once testing has begun, we cannot admit students.

This PSAT is paid for by the district to provide full access for all students to  this important step toward developing career- and college-readiness. Please be aware that a minimum score on each of the two separate sections can also be used as a benchmark toward graduation eligibility in the state of New Jersey. We have attached those graduation score benchmarks here again for your reference.

Your students have received PSAT practice booklets in their English classes this week. Please help them spend some time over the coming days reviewing the format of the PSAT and doing some practice to familiarize themselves with it.

More details are included in our letter.
