Columbia High School’s Pangallozzi Heads to Cross Country Meet of Champions

Columbia High School’s Jared Pangallozzi is headed to the New Jersey Cross Country Meet of Champions following his fourth place finish in the Group 4 State Championship on Saturday, November 12. Pangallozzi, the team captain, finished the 5K (3.1 mile) course at Holmdel Park in 16:07.

Columbia, following championships in the recent conference and county meets, finished with a respectable 13th place out of 20 teams. Rounding out the scoring for Columbia behind senior Jared Pangallozzi were four juniors: Jonathan Salinardo, Tim Depue, Avery Coreschi, and David Ives.

The New Jersey Meet of Champions race will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19th at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, NJ.

On Saturday, November 26 the Columbia boys cross country team will be looking to close out their season in strong fashion when they travel to Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls, New York for the Nike Cross Nationals Northeast Region meet.
