Early Monday Dismissal for SOMSD, Millburn Schools Due to Forecasted Blizzard

Due to the forecast for blizzard conditions, all South Orange-Maplewood public schools will operate on a 4-hour schedule tomorrow, January 26 (see schedules for individual schools below). All after school activities including on site after care are canceled.

In addition, Millburn Public Schools has also announced early dismissal tomorrow.  Dismissal for Millburn High School and Middle School is 12:15 p.m.  Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:40 p.m.  Pre-school parents need to check their handbook for dismissal time.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a potentially “crippling and historic” snow storm with snow totals that might exceed two and a half feet.

The Village Green will provide updates as they become available.

South Orange Maplewood schools will be dismissed early tomorrow, January 26th, due to the forecast for significant snowfall.  All schools will operate on a 4-hour day schedule (see chart below for your school).  As a reminder, lunch is not served on 4-hour days. All after school activities, including on-site after care, are cancelled.  PM Pre-K is also cancelled.

We will contact you tomorrow should additional changes to the schedule for this week become necessary.

Marshall Elementary School 8:45am – 12:45pm
Seth Boyden Elementary School 8:45am – 12:45pm
South Mountain – Big School 8:10am – 12:10pm
South Mountain – Annex 8:00am – 12:00pm
