Learn About Essex County Public Programs at the Zoo June 3

On Saturday, June 3rd from 10am to 2pm, Essex County invites the public to the 15th Annual Essex County Open House at Turtle Back Zoo. The event is an opportunity to learn about the variety of services available, and the important role and impact that Essex County has on the community and the quality of life of residents.

In addition to learning about the County’s programs and services, the event will also feature a “treetop adventure”, a mini-golf safari, pony rides, and paddle boating. The zoo’s natural habitat exhibits will feature lions, hyenas, giraffes, sea lions, sharks, jaguars, komodo dragon, gibbons apes, jaguars, and many more animal friends.

The Open House will be help at Essex County South Mountain Recreation Complex Essex County Turtle Back Zoo at 560 Northfield Avenue in West Orange. Admission is free although some activities require an additional fee. For more information, please call 973-621-4400.
