Dear Friends & Neighbors,

We are writing this letter to ask you to join us in voting for Chris Sabin as a member of the South Orange-Maplewood School Board on November 3, 2015. We have known Chris all of his life. He is a life-long member of our community. As a member of the Sabin family, Chris has learned first-hand what it means to volunteer and contribute one’s skills and expertise to improve the cultural, social and educational life of our beloved community. His parents, Ed and Sabarah Sabin have made numerous contributions to our towns. Ed was a scout leader for years, and Sabarah was an outstanding member and president of the South Orange/Maplewood Board of Education from 1985-91.

Chris is a 1983 graduate of Columbia High School and a 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland. He received a stellar education from the district and wants the same for his kids and others.

We know he will be an outstanding member of the Board of Education because he has high standards and wants to help provide the best educational experience for his children, as well as all of the students in our district. He has been an active volunteer in Packers football and other youth sports. He understands the issues of our school district because he speaks to hundreds of parents in the course of a year. Chris is calm, reasonable and a good listener. He will help build consensus from multiple points of view.

Chris is running with Annemarie Maini, the director of the highly respected South Orange Country Day School in South Orange, a Montessori preschool. Annemarie is a well-known community and school volunteer in South Orange and most recently served as co-president of the South Orange Middle School Home and School Association.

Please join us on November 3 in helping to elect Chris Sabin and Annemarie Maini to the South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education.
