Millburn mom Carly Drum-O’Neill and her two enterprising daughters Taylor & Keira O’Neill, who attend South Mountain School, will appear on the ABC summer series “Steve Harvey’s Funderdome” in late summer.
ABC’s “Funderdome” is hosted by Steve Harvey and airs on Sunday nights on ABC. It is a seed-funding competition reality series where two budding entrepreneurs go head-to-head to win over a live studio audience to fund their ideas, products or companies. The audience represents the “customer” and, as the customer is always right, they vote to determine the winner. But the entrepreneurs will face a major dilemma: one of them is allowed to cash out and walk away for less money. But if an entrepreneur cashes out, they forgo the opportunity to win the whole cash prize for that round—a good move if they lost the crowd vote, but a bad move if they would have won it.
The O’Neills are the creators of BuddyBagz – an all-in-one bag/blanket/pillow and stuffed animal that makes it easy for traveling kids and families to carry all of their gear in one place. There are 8 designs available now, as well as the special Brave Buddy for all kids who need a friend to remind them that they are brave enough to overcome any struggle or fear. 15% of the profits of the Brave Buddy go to The Valerie Fund.
The O’Neills taped their episode on the show last fall, and are excited that their episode will finally be airing later this summer. Follow BuddyBagz on Facebook and other social media (see links below), or check out their website to follow them and find out the airdate.
