After the older kids got back to school, area preschools began opening their doors later in September.

Open Door Nursery School on Wyoming Avenue in Millburn started classes on Thursday, September 10.

“We are so excited to be kicking off the new school year with hands-on activities, lots of learning through play, and making new friends!” said Alethea Randazza, Director at Open Door.

Randazza also wanted the Millburn, Maplewood and South Orange community to know that the Open Door Parent Committee’s dedication to fundraising has benefited the students.

“We are excited about the new indoor and outdoor playground equipment purchased for this year. In addition, the school is committed to enhancing students’ learning experience,” said Randazza.

Open Door will be bringing in Miss Reyna from Lydia Johnson Dance Studio once a month as part of a new school enrichment program. As always, Open Door continues to enhance its educational outreach program by having institutions like the Turtle Back Zoo and the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum come and visit the school.
