The object of the Junior Academy is to promote an environment where the student learns the basic principles of respect, discipline, drug & alcohol awareness, teamwork, motivation and dedication to a ‘greater cause’. Each student will gain insight into the legal process that protects our citizens. ‘Working together towards one common goal,‘ is the theme of every academy day. The students will start the week as 24 individuals… and end the week as 1 team.
Each child will see many police officers from the South Orange Police Department as well as other agencies in an up close atmosphere. We will be emphasizing ‘cooperation’ as various agencies demonstrate their expertise.
