From Rent Party:
Rent Party is no stranger to the challenge of kids dealing with food-insecurity in our community. For more than five years, their BackPack Pals program has provided a weekend’s worth of nutritious food each week during the school year to about 100 local school children who have been identified as potentially food-insecure. “We try to bridge the gap between the free/assisted lunch on Friday and the free/assisted breakfast on Monday,” said Rent Party co-founder David Wagner.
Rent Party recently stepped up to insure that local kids in need will not go without lunch.
“We were contacted by Parenting Center Director Karen Weiland, who made us aware of the issue of some in-need kids simply running out of money on their lunch account,” said Wagner. “We were able to work with Karen and Pat Johnson from food services to insure this does not happen.”
Weiland has nothing but praise for Rent Party.
“Rent Party does amazing work and their recent donation will buy 166 lunches for elementary students in our schools,” said Weiland.
Wagner said that this kind of donation was an easy decision for Rent Party. “We love working with Karen and her team. This donation fits perfectly into our mission and we hope to support this initiative for a long time,” said Wagner.
