On Thursday, July 21st, at 7:30PM, in DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Avenue, Maplewood, Lindy Wilson, Legislative Director for Assemblywoman Mila Jasey, will present different funding proposals and discuss how they impact the South Orange/Maplewood School District.

The school district gets only about half of the state aid it should get.  Both Governor Christie’s Fairness Formula and NJ Senate President Sweeney’s School Funding Proposal will help Maplewood’s taxpayers.  Ms. Wilson will address the benefits of each, what municipalities will lose state aid, if Maplewood gets more, and whether it is realistic to expect a change in school funding.

Come on out to this Hilton Neighborhood Association meeting to hear how these plans could impact your taxes and what you can do to advocate for change.  All HNA meetings are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served.  For further information, contact cabms@aol.com or 973-761-4672.
