On Sunday September 30th, The First Annual Resource Home Show will come to Maplewood NJ. The event, sponsored by Inhabit Your Home – a blog for the stylish and functional home – will be held from 1-4 at The Woodland.

The Resource Home Show is the answer to the ongoing call for regional home industry professionals who restore, renovate, upgrade and maintain our beloved homes. Produced by Maplewood residents and NYC bedroom community Realtors® Carla Labianca and Lisa Danbrot, this homegrown event seeks to provide an arena for homeowners and home improvement professionals, talented tradespeople, and independent makers to connect, engage and exchange information.

Enjoy an iced coffee or treat from Palmer’s Sweetery Pop-Up Shop while you peruse 30+ Exhibitor displays. Attend DIY demos in Antique Window Restoration presented by Paul Lewis of 2GFN, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® presented by Azie Shelhorse of {verdigreen}, and Fall Container Gardening presented by Bonnie Ryan and Santa Tush of Bonnie’s Blooms. Hear a Panel Discussion featuring several Resource Home Show Exhibitors moderated by Amy Hughes, owner of Maplewood Mercantile and Salvage Style. Strike up a conversation in one of our two lounges, the Exhibitor Lounge, designed by Nureed Saeed of Nu Interiors, or the Visitor Lounge, designed by Jenny Castronuovo Miller of Studio*Nuovo, featuring furniture graciously provided by Design Within Reach. Leave with a swag bag of goodies from Resource Partners and Exhibitors and a special treat from local South Orange food blog, Lizzez Fare.

Additional Exhibitors and Partners include: Ale Wood and Design, All County Sewer and Drain, Anya Ellia Interiors, Blizard Landscaping, California Closets, Canvas Design & Development, Chambers Design, Clawson Architects, Clawson Cabinets, David Gorman Interiors, Dirt Hacker Sustainable Landscapes, Ferguson Enterprises, The Framing Mill, The GarBar, The Habitatilist, Jesse Jade Painting, The Maplewood Green Team, The Maplewood Historic Preservation Commission, Maria DeCosimo Architect, NOYO headboards, Sarah Gee Interiors, State Farm Insurance, Style by Hahn, Studio J, Tile Design Inspirations, and Who We Use.

Proceeds of the event benefit First Friends of New Jersey and New York, an organization that recognizes the true spirit of home and aims to “uphold the inherent dignity and humanity of detained immigrants and asylum seekers”.
