Maplewood to Celebrate Olympic Bronze Medalist Ibtihaj Muhammad With Parade Sept 10

The Township of Maplewood is holding a celebration on Saturday, September 10 for Olympic Bronze Medal Winner Ibtihaj Muhammad, a Maplewood native and Columbia High School graduate.

According to Maplewood Mayor Vic DeLuca, the celebration will include a motorcade along Springfield Avenue and a parade through Maplewood Village. The events begin at 10:30 a.m. at the NJ Fencing Alliance on Burnett Avenue and end at noon.

“The parade will end at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts where Ibtihaj will sign autographs,” said DeLuca.
