WATCH: Maplewood’s Kai Strothers, 10, Bowls Perfect Game in Competition

Ten-year-old Tuscan School student Kai Strothers made history last weekend when he bowled a perfect game in competition at Jersey Lanes in Linden. Kai is now the youngest person to bowl a 300 in a competitive league in the State of New Jersey — and the second youngest in the U.S.

The feat has gained him major media attention.

Kai’s mom Sharonda Strothers told News12NewJersey, “He eats, sleeps and drinks bowling.” However, she stressed that Kai’s bowling obsession does not come at the expense of his schoolwork as a 5th grader at Tuscan School.

Kai’s achievement will be acknowledged by the South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education at its February meeting.
