From a team parent:
It’s all go for the South Orange Dolphins. They are knee deep in Summer practice.
It was a tough start to the season swimming against New Jersey’s best; West Caldwell, Westfield and New Providence. There were no victories, in fact we were beaten by far.
Nevertheless, the South Orange Dolphins both new and old put forward their best and brought well earned points to the table. Practice makes perfect and the Dolphins of 2017 are learning more than just how to swim competitively. Team spirit and general camaraderie are there at the top – resilience, bravery and commitment are but a few of the qualities that the team develops over the intense six week season.
Monday’s meet against West Orange, under the watchful eye of new Coach Randy Post, may lead us to victory; team spirit is high and hopes of building a winning team are definitely within reach.
Please watch this space for weekly updates on our competitive swims against other New Jersey swim teams. We are actively trying to raise funds for a committed swim team – all donations are greatly appreciated. We hope to build a stronger community and provide the children with a real sense of belonging. https://www.gofundme.com/south-orange-dolphins-swim-team
