Jane Clark was honored by the South Orange-Village Board of Trustees on April 8, 2019 for her accomplishments at the Special Olympic Games in Abu Dhabi. From JESPY House:
We’ve got a local hero! Longtime JESPY client and South Orange resident Jane Ellyn Clark is a 2019 Special Olympics World Games medal winner! She’s done well locally and at the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle as a bowler in recent years. But Jane recently won several medals during the Games in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Held March 14th through the 21st, Jane’s impressive talents earned her a Silver medal in doubles; a bronze in team; and 4th Place in Singles. As a participant in the Games, she joined more than 7,000 other athletes from 170 countries who competed in 24 summer sports. Traveling to Abu Dhabi was Jane’s first time abroad and she made the journey well worth the trip!
