Fall Electronics Recycling Dates for Maplewood, South Orange

There are three more dates for Electronics Recycling in Maplewood and South Orange for 2016. The first is this Saturday, September 10 at the South Orange Recycling Center. The other two dates are October 8 and December 17. See below for details from Maplewood and South Orange townships:

 

REMAINING 2016 ELECTRONICS RECYCLING SCHEDULE:

Electronic items can be brought to the Recycling Center on the following days ONLY:

CRT TV’s & Monitors
Hard Drives
Microwaves, Toaster Ovens
Metal Cased Audio
LCD, LED, & Plasma TV’s
Cable Boxes
LCD, LED Monitor’s
Printers, Toner Cartridges
Computers (desktop, laptop)
Cell Phones, Pagers, Chargers
Servers, Modems, Routers
Copy Machines, Fax Machines, Scanners
Audio & Video Equipment
Rechargeable Batteries (Ni-Cad)

Electronic Items Not Accepted At the Recycling Center:

No Alkaline Batteries                                   
No Household Hazardous Waste
No Materials Containing Liquids                
No Radioactive materials       
No PCB Containing Materials 
No CDs, DVDs, VHS Tapes, or Cassette Tapes
No Light Bulbs (LED, CFL, Incandescent)
No Scavenged CRT TV’s Monitors (containing broken glass or broken housing)
No Mercury Containing Devices (thermostats, medical devices, thermometers)

Hours: 8am to 12pm.  Maplewood residents may also bring their electronics to South Orange on the collection days held in South Orange (300 Walton Rd.)
