Dunnell Road and Baker Street in Maplewood will be closed for parking from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Wednesday night for paving work, according to the township engineering department. The work will be done at night to minimize disruptions to traffic and commuters.

Signs will be put up on Baker St. today alerting residents about the parking restrictions. Paving will then begin on Dunnell, which will likely be closed for parking on Thursday night.

The work is part of an ongoing construction project that includes improving the handicap ramps along the route to Maplewood Middle School, library and train station.

Baker Street will be repaved from the railroad trestle to Valley Street, and Dunnell Road will be repaved from Baker Street to Oakview Ave. Plans for this work can be viewed on the township website.
