To the Editor:
I would like to take a moment to encourage my Maplewood friends and neighbors to give strong consideration in support of Nancy Adams and Jerry Ryan for Maplewood Township Committee. I am proud to endorse Nancy and Jerry for a seat I once held because I know they are not only committed, but are quite capable of dealing with the complexities of the issues that may arise.
I first met Nancy Adams years ago at a Maplewood League of Women Voters meeting. She immediately made herself known for speaking her mind and thoughtfully considering all sides of an issue. League issue conversations are always thought provoking and interesting, and Nancy and I enjoyed the debate and process to come to consensus on challenging issues that was best for the greater good. I’ve seen her work tirelessly on behalf of our community and through her work become an expert in downtown revitalization and management. Her input on the Township Committee will be unique, candid and thoughtful, just as it is on the Planning Board. I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy.
I have had the pleasure of serving with Jerry Ryan on the Township Committee and have known him for years as well. He was helpful in my orientation and introduction to the Township Committee. I learned early on of his deep commitment and passion to serve. He brings tremendous historical knowledge, valuable skills and experience to the table. He has a proven track record and has demonstrated how he gives thoughtful consideration to the issues facing Maplewood. We would be served well if Jerry is afforded another term on the township committee.
Please remember to vote in the Primary election on June 2 and I encourage you to join me in casting your ballot for Nancy Adams and Jerry Ryan.
